Modern payroll and NEXON
Modern payroll and NEXON
"Who cares about payroll? - NEXON does, indeed."
The founders of NEXON saw the potential in doing the payroll on an IT basis back in 1985, at the dawn of PCs. The development of computerised payroll in Hungary has been inextricably linked to the company's development.
The IBM XT computer, now a museum piece, was used with the first NEXON software, which was mostly written in machine code. Thousands of employees' payroll could have been processed far more quickly in this manner. What other applications could manage in hours, NEXON's software - later called BERENC - could tackle in a couple of minutes. Obviously, because BERENC was in an up-to-date compliance with the regulations, it became increasingly popular with the users. BERENC was purchased by the companies as follows: Agroker (Agricultural Trading Co), Röltex (Haberdashery), Vasért (Iron Trading Co), Központi Statisztikai Hivatal (Central Statistical Office), Magyar Tudományos Akadémia (Hungarian Academy of Science) and APEH (State Tax Authority).
In 1992 the entirely updated version of BERENC was launched, which was a pioneer in Hungary in managing payroll and sick leave accounting as well as labour related tasks in an integrated form. By the end of 1992 the software provided service for over 250 clients.
The founders of NEXON saw the potential in doing the payroll on an IT basis back in 1985, at the dawn of PCs.
Between 1992 and 2004, due to its well-earned reputation in the market, NEXON was developing dynamically. The number of companies applying BERENC grew to 2400, the number of employees whose payroll calculation was done by NEXON reached 1 million. From the original labour and personnel administration a state of the art HR management system emerged. Similarly, the manually managed timesheet developed into an integrated card entry and time and attendance accounting system. In the meantime, the IT system integration between the payroll and HR management was achieved as well.
Thanks to, amongst others', NEXON's market leading activity and professionalism human informatics have fallen into the focus of attention. Over the last 20 years the company has created a benchmark of innovation that consciously interweaves the organisation and a standard of a client centred attitude. This is how NEXON sets an example to competitors as well.
As market leader we understand that our innovations emerge in other applications as well. More often than not, however, these similarities in the looks do not relate to the real core attributes of our systems. Thus, counterfeits cause disillusionment and trouble to the users having been misled.
We have experienced several times that our potential clients regard payroll management a hopeless area and a nuisance owing to their earlier bad experience. Luckily, we have always managed to convince them of the opposite. In 2007 our company could boast 2800 clients, meaning the smooth payroll management of over 1 million employees.
Why should you settle for less than the principal payroll software in the market? What our clients find appealing about our payroll solutions is not only their reliability, speed and ergonomic structure, but also that we are available any time. As the world of payroll frequently changes, it needs to be supported all the time. This is why we have established our customer support, where our professional colleagues respond to any questions occurring due to regulation changes.
As NEXON regards payroll accounting an independent job requiring thorough knowledge, we decided to establish a new division to teach this profession. nexONEDU trains payroll specialists who, regardless of company size or activity, hold their ground in the field of payroll with its many legislative changes. Beyond our own courses we find it essential for the would-be HR-managers and payroll specialists to learn the most modern technology and possibilities while still at school. Therefore, we have entered into a strategic agreement with Budapesti Gazdasági Főiskola (The College of Economics of Budapest), where we provide the opportunity for the students to gain practical knowledge of state of the art IT solutions in the field of HR and payroll management, and to gain proficiency in their use.
It is outsourcing that is the determining factor of payroll's future, and it is regarded to be NEXON's speciality as well. The company manages the payroll of over 60,000 employees in the framework of nexONSOURCE.
In 2004 NEXON started to refresh the entire range of its products. To join nexONTIME and nexONHR, nexONBÉR was launched, with the experience of 20 years. The new software is already being applied by 1000 clients and is expected to be dominant in the Hungarian market.
NEXON looks positively in the future. With its progressive developments, special professional knowledge and dedicated colleagues, NEXON wishes to stay a principal service provider in Hungary.
